Specify links and addresses centrally

Usually, in HTML you write links the following way:

	<a href='http://www.mysite.co'> This is a link </a>

This is cumbersome. Imagine you want to use your email address on every page (... although you could just put your address somewhere in the _fuss.php footer page and it'll appear everywhere). Then, suddenly, you change your ISP and your email address changes, or you want to change your address because you get too much SPAM (www.spamfreemail.de could help you there... its free!).

But in any case, you'd have to change every single page if your address changes. Same for a link to another website you want to use repeatedly.

PHPHP offers an array $addrs which you can use to save links and keep them in one place, to be changed easily (if you want). These links are defined in the inc.php file (where else :-).

<?php
    class mypage extends page {
	....
	var $addrs = array(
		"Text"		=> "http://www.my-address.co",
		"Another link"	=> "http://myfriend.or",
		# and so on ...
	);
	...
    }
?>

Then, in your content, instead of the HTML code, you write

    <?php print $p->addr("Another link");?>	or
    <?=$p->addr("Another link");?>		(short form, if supported - just try it)

which generates

    <a href='http://www.my-address.co'>Another link</a>

Now, if your friend's address changes, you only need to change it in inc.php, not everywhere on the page.

Use this for anything you like!

You can use this for mail addresses ("write me" => "mailto:me@myself.co",) or for popup windows ("click here" => "javascript:alert('This is a popup window');") or for whatever can be used with an <a href=...> anchor.
